| Its almost here!!!!! Yay!! Ok, so I'm updating for the first time in over a year. Kinda ended up posting on Facebook instead. But I've always loved Xanga for the fact that I can update randomly on here and very few will ever read it. :P I'm pretty happy right now, things are good. I have an amazing family, an amazing church, the best friends in the world and summer is just about here. This means vacations and concerts. Heck yeah!! | | |
| So this past week I have been home well, most the time. My parents are on their cruise. Their coming home tomorrow though!! But to be honest, before they left I was stressed and bummed, but still very happy for them. I think things were getting to me. What I had thought would be well, just a long hard week wasn't really that bad. God has been teaching to to slow down, to rest up. Usually I love to be around others, to hang out, to stay out late. But this week I have just turned into a hermit. Yesterday for the first time in a long time, i just stayed in bed and watched movies, wrote some, talked to a few friends, stayed home from a snowtubing trip, cleaned...(Charlotte and Jason have this kids this weekend.) I really just slowed down for once... So yeah...thats been my thoughts for the day... Remember to take some time to rest every now and then. to just enjoy life. Go for a walk, read a book (that you enjoy.) or something, and just rest in God. | | |
| So I'm in a pretty good mood...this is good, because I reeally wasn't most of last week. I got to hang with friends on a houseboat though! that was flippin sweet. Got to see part of one of my absolute favorite movies of all time. "Wild Hearts Can't Be Broken" it's a love story with horses...I think I'll have to buy it. for now, I'll just watch The Man From Snowy River again... : ) I've been totally stuck in Isaiah...it's awesome...I love chapters 54, and 60-62. Been listenin to Anberlin, Hillsong, Future of Forestry and OneRepublic a lot... Got to disect a cows eye last week...fun stuff... My parents are on a cruise...I'm so happy for them, I hope their having an amazingly awesome time. it's pretty much the first real vacation they've had since they've been married... Right Now I've been thinking about proverbs 17:17a. A Friend loves at all times... | | |
| So New Orleans was awesome! I made so many new friends.. : ) God tought me so much, I mean, I felt like we really wern't doing anything, just looking at all that still needed to be done, I just felt so helpless... God was teaching me something there though, it wasn't about the Sugarbowl, it wasn't about 40 of us Christian college kids walkin down Bourban street on New Years eve, (Which we did) it wasn't even about the work, it was about spreading Gods love, it was about building relationships, it was about hope. It seemed we pretty much did nothing there, as a friend said, like I was spiting into a bucket, but in reality, they changed our hearts as much or more as we changed theirs...so yeah, the trip was amazing! I can't wait to go again! And hopefully this time I won't get sick!! Stupid cough... Also, I can't wait for tomorrow night...Girls Night!! Gonna get together with a bunch of the girls from Watersedge, were going to go see P.S. I Love You. Then spend the night and all go to church...I'm so excited!! Also, on a music note...lol..I've been listening to The Almost, and Anberlin a lot. : ) | | |
